The 83kg class is a huge one and packed full of big name lifters. Right at the top, is Delaney Wallace - the self-proclaimed strongest accountant alive. In his first international appearance he has gone straight to the top of nominations:
Timothy Monigatti took the silver medal in the juniors in Helsingborg back in 2019 and he is back and challenging at the front. He put up a total of 812.5kg a few weeks ago at a local competition so it looks like we are in for some close competition. And not just from these two!
Jurins Kengamu faced off with Emilio Cotti Cometti recently at the European Classic in Sweden. Emilio came out on top on that occasion but there was only 2.5kg in it. Emilio totalled 780kg at that competition so he is further forward than the nominations suggest. And we have something of an unknown quantity in Fongang Techap to keep everyone on their toes.
With bench press world record holder and Welsh national treasure Owen Hubbard, and deadlift world record breaker Asein Enahoro right behind, you will want to watch this one live! Streamed on the Olympic channel and our facebook page on 8th June, this session will also be broadcast live on Eurosport.
