Raw Women at Junior Worlds

With Junior Worlds less than a week away, we have some incredible lifters nominated in the classic women's division.  200 lifters from 54 countries are on the roster, with nearly half of them sub-juniors.

There are way too many great athletes competing to talk about all of them but here are a few key battles and performances to look out for.

In the sub-juniors, the super heavyweight category brings two new faces to the international platform, Chealsea Enemor and Luella Bowden, both from USA.  They are both close to the sub-junior bench press world record and Bowden broke the sub-junior and junior squat world record at the NAPF Championships recent with an incredible 265kg.

The 57kg class looks like too close to call with two Canadians nominated on 427.5kg.  Kellie Chong and Tori Laperriere last met at Canadian nationals with ultimately Kellie winning on bodyweight.  They are evenly matched on squat but Kellie has the advantage of the bigger deadlift.  They won't be able to focus exclusively on each other though with the next three lifters nominated on 417.5kg.

The 69s look just as close with French team mates Samantha Eugenie and Andorina Bouchoux both nominated with 515.5kg.  Eugenie bust out a national deadlift record of 220.5kg to win on bodyweight that day and it looks like an exciting rematch coming up.

Britain's Erholove Izobodo-John in the 84kg class is within reach of Amanda Lawrence's junior deadlift world record.  She pulled 250kg at British Juniors in April and the record currently stands at 252.5kg so, if all goes well, we could see an attempt there.

In the supers, Lystus Ebosele is nominated with the 545.5kg she did at Irish nationals but since then she totalled 595kg at the Silent Worker meet in France, going 9 for 9 and making most of her lifts look effortless so it's impossible to say where she will end up on the day.
